What I meant is:
I perform a search on a database, which returns the paths (/sdcard/whatever) to the images. The catch is you can't know "a priori" how many images will be returned (could be anywhere from 0 to 1000), and therefore you can't declare the ImageViews in the XML file, you have to declare them, as needed, in the java file.
I think I solved it, though, by inserting these ImageView into a Gallery (which, as you only need one, can be declared in the XML)Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00805742317666305995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-89878749563391212.post-100539491277783052011-04-10T02:00:18.756-07:002011-04-10T02:00:18.756-07:00hello Ventura,

I can't catch what you means "didn't have the XML views declared". Do you means your layout XML have no ImageView declared?

For "obtained the image paths dynamically", please refer Display Gallery selected image using BitmapFactory.Erikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04983894331825656853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-89878749563391212.post-77450455154505308042011-04-09T11:14:51.390-07:002011-04-09T11:14:51.390-07:00ok, I know this works because you've got the p...ok, I know this works because you've got the proper ImageView declared in the XML file, but how would you go about it if you obtained the image paths dynamically, and didn't have the XML views declared?Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00805742317666305995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-89878749563391212.post-33302993559880735462010-07-16T04:59:59.372-07:002010-07-16T04:59:59.372-07:00Do you need a file explorer? may be you can refer...Do you need a file explorer? may be you can reference Implement a simple File Explorer in Android

For video, I have tried using VideoView only, Displays video in VideoViewErikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04983894331825656853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-89878749563391212.post-72696576081934491912010-07-16T02:50:54.405-07:002010-07-16T02:50:54.405-07:00Sorry, forgot to mention that I also want to load ...Sorry, forgot to mention that I also want to load videos :)Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07991659429291028807noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-89878749563391212.post-67782147268272755682010-07-16T02:48:33.374-07:002010-07-16T02:48:33.374-07:00Hi there,
